yummy food to start the new year

Here are some delicious dishes Kelvin and I made to celebrate the new year. Sorry about the poor quality of the pics... they were all taken on my iphone. A new camera is just one of the gazillion things on my list of stuff to get in 2011.

It's a rare day when Kelvin cooks but when he does.... it is sooooo delicious. Super yummy porterhouse steak,  mushrooms and onion in a tempura glaze with a side of mixed veggies.

tandoori chicken wings

choy with garlic and mushrooms

clams casino with bacon, mushrooms, garlic,  colby jack and parmesan cheese
The heat has been out in our apartment since Dec 27th so it has been absolutely freezing at home, especially since it keeps snowing in Buffalo. We had to go buy room heaters from Walmart but its still super cold AND it keeps knocking out our electricity. What a wonderful way to celebrate in the new year XP.
bowzer's so cold he keeps burrowing underneath the blankets LOL so cute~!

Goodbye 2010

Happy New Years Eve! 2010 started off rough but ended up being a great year for me. I went back to school. Finished my LPN program top of my class (taking my nclex soon >.<) and moved into a new apartment with my sweetie Kelvin. I can't believe its been 5 years since we first got together. Through all the drama and heartaches thats happened between us two over the past three years, I'm happy to say this year is ending better than ever for us.

I had a real scare with my mother at the beginning of the year. She went in for a routine colonoscopy and ended up with a severe C.Diff infection that almost killed her. She was literally in the hospital for almost a month and the worst part is that we can't even sue the bastard doctor >O. She's finally doing pretty well now though she still suffers through some side effects with her stomach. I'm so grateful for everyday that passes that my family has good health. I really can't imagine the day when they won't be with me. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

haha disney world
how cute are they <3

on our cruise to the Bahamas

Anyhow, I hope everyone had a great 2010 and an even better 2011! Happy New Years!

Ramblings of a Mad Woman

I have finally been convinced into writing my own blog about my daily do-nothings by the crazy but adorable man of my life. One girl, one boy, two cute devil dogs, one little apartment and all the ups and downs that come with it. Relationships, shopping, cooking, makeup, moaning, bitching, sharing of all the joys and heartaches in my life. Who knows, maybe one day I will even have a few readers =)
